Matthew 12:46-50. “whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, and sister and mother.”
What is your will Father? To love you and love my neighbor? The seasons change, flowers bloom and die, leaves grow and fall, it rains and snows. Your will never changes; your love for me is immense, unending and total. I may not receive you in the blessed sacrament for awhile but I will receive your spirit.
Your spirit is good and will suffice; I often feel the spirit of my brother, sister and mother who are with you today, always and forever. Receive all who gave their life in pleasing ways to you, these who modeled for many what a mother, brother or sister was like. Help us through this madness of our world by keeping our eyes focused on you, my Lord and my God. By your grace we will surrender the worries, sufferings and offer up these unfair trials of our day.
Many who claimed you as Lord changed their ways and held others captive. Help us to seek the goodness of our brother, sister and mother who are not our biological family; always choosing their needs before our own in accordance to your will. Use us as your conduit of grace for them; finding favor with you for this offering of sacrifice and love.
